Local Business and programmer collaborations continue and grow with long-time Taix Champagne Room programming partners SESAC and Buzzbands returning. Grand Ole Echo’s country and americana returning to Cosmic Vinyl and the Echo patio. Also returning is the outdoor Laveta Stage in the parking lot kindly donated by the forthcoming Echo Park bar The Press Box. Green Slime is filling The Short Stop with raw rock n roll, rockabilly garage music. The music blogs What The Sound has indie rock and up-and-coming artists at the The Semi-Tropic and All Scene Eye programming Trencher.
Other programming include Echo Park’s newest Thai restaurant Sticky Rice hosting an all acoustic stage; hot yoga haven Modo Yoga LA hosting performances, Rock Paper Salon curating an art show and an obscure video screening at Blank City Records.
This year’s Echo Park Rising expands its family program with the return of the Bob Baker Marionettes and the World Dodgeball Society’s Saturday games and the addition of 13 year old DJ phenom DJ Kai Song performing and leading a kids’ learn-to-DJ Workshops all happening at El Centro de Pueblo.
